For meat-lovers there’s nothing more satisfying than a perfectly seasoned steak cooked to his/her exact liking. A good steak, by far, is one of the purest carnivorous pleasures available. Grilling a steak outdoors is one of the best ways to enjoy summer. As far as cuisine goes, cooking a steak is pretty simple. However, the art of cooking the perfect steak can be intimidating for many. Pretty much everybody can cook a steak – but there’s no treat quite like a perfectly seared succulent beef steak, cooked to your liking, served with your favorite side dish.

Learn the best ways to serve the perfect steak dinner from the steak experts at Magic Lamp.

1.Look for quality cuts & meat

In order to serve aprodigious steak dinner, you would not want to go cheap. So, focus on the quality of the meat and then on the quality of the cut itself. Since there are so many options to choose from, picking the right cut of steak may seem like an intimidating task for many. Try buying the steak from a butcher or a grocery store, where you could get a chance to see what it looks like before buying. Prefer buying the steak that looks dry and is firm to the touch as the wet one might turn out to be less tender and less juicy when cooked. Finally, look for a vivid red, almost purplish fine-grained meat with a light marbling of fat.

2.Cook to perfection

Before cooking, let your steaks come to room temperature. Take them out from the fridge and cover them with a paper towel, which helps in reducing the moisture and promoting an even sear. When they’re finally ready to get cooked, get your grill red hot, pat them dry and season them with sea salt & freshly ground black pepper. Sear your steaks on the hottest part of the grill for a few minutes on each side. A 1-inch steak each side will take around 3-4 minutes to cook. Heat the steaks until the desired tenderness is reached.

3.Serve warm

Food is seldom better cold, and same is the case with serving the steak! Steaks are typically served grilled, pan-fried, or broiled, but only when they are brought up to their final serving temperature. Once the steak is removed from the grill, it is kept at a nice internal temperature and is served after a 5 minute resting period.
